Connie was acquired as a finished champion through the generosity of her breeders, Gene and Deanna Walton.  She was also a proven brood bitch, as the Waltons bred her one time before selling her to Charlin.  She was specialed selectively and she won several Group placements under top Terrier judges.  Connie later achieved her CGC title which, combined with her champion puppies and her own show record, earned her the Register of Merit and Hall of Fame accolades from the AMTC.

Connie was a wonderful example of classic Manchester type of the older style, a type highly valued in the Manchester breed.  She had a strongly-made yet feminine headpiece with a perfect ear set and carriage, and a strong under-jaw.  She had excellent boning and compact feet.  She was a medium-sized bitch with good spring of rib and a substantial body.  Her temperament was that befitting her station in life as Queen of the House: dignified, accepting of attention from people, demanding of her comforts in life, firm yet fair with puppies and youngsters, and never stooping to arguments with mere dogs.  And she held that position until the day she died at the grand age of 15-1/2 years.

She is greatly missed.
