An extraordinary product of our Patti's second breeding, Turbo finished his championship astoundingly quickly. His show record includes Reserve Winners Dog at the Delaware Valley Manchester Terrier Club's 2005 Specialty Show (held in conjunction with the AMTC Nationals) as a 7-month-old puppy, a 3-point major in Virginia Beach also from Puppy Class, and a 4-point major gleaned by virtue of winning Terrier Group 1st from the classes in Maury County, TN.
As a finished champion, Turbo continues to impress. His numerous BOV awards and Terrier Group placements resulted in his ranking of #8 Manchester Terrier in all-breed competition by the end of 2006.
Turbo is everything we hoped for in accomplishing this breeding. He combines his sire's classic head type and masculine build with his dam's superb structure and movement. He has a dark eye, correct earset and carriage, and a long wedge-shaped head, all of which combine to lend him a wonderful expression. His shoulder is long and well laid back and his neck is elegant, strong, and set on perfectly. His hindquarter is powerful, smoothly muscled, and well-angulated, with legs standing and moving correctly parallel. His strong boning goes 'all the way down to the ground', as they say, resulting in feet which are well-arched and the correct shape for the breed. All of the above combines to produce reaching, driving movement rarely seen in this breed and often remarked upon by judges and exhibitors alike.
Add to these features a temperament which is friendly with people, tolerant of other dogs, and showy in the ring, Turbo is both a remarkable show dog and an excellent choice for breeders to consider as a stud dog for their nicest bitches.
